Avenger – Joan of Arc
Joan of Arc (Jeanne d’Arc) was a French commoner who claimed to have heard the Voice of God, which told her that she would lead the French army to victory against the English. She commanded the whole country’s army at the age of seventeen and led them to victory. Joan was burned at the stake for heresy after being tried when she was only nineteen. The trial occurred for political reasons and Joan was filled with shame and anger for being put to death in such a way. Twenty-four years after her execution she was raised up as a martyr and a saint and became very well loved throughout France. She is a woman that is prepared for battle, and thus she is usually dressed in platemail and her hair is cut short. Joan has dirty-blonde hair and clear, blue eyes.

Luck: +2

Military Tactics – Rank: B
Joan was not known to battle with many foes directly, but it was said that she was a masterful tactician that was able to outmaneuver even the most experienced commanders. This skill provides bonuses when using Anti-Army Noble Phantasms or when fighting against Anti-Army Noble Phantasms.

Charisma – Rank: A
Joan had great charisma in the form of natural talent in commanding a large military force. Rank A can be said to be the greatest popular support obtainable as a human being.

Bravery – Rank: B+
This ability allows Joan of Arc to ignore many mind-affecting enchantments and gives bonuses to fighting ability when fighting a superior foe.

Divinity – Rank: D+
Joan of Arc was declared a martyr and a saint twenty-four years after her execution.

Knowledge of Future Events – Rank: B
Joan of Arc claimed to hear the Voice of God while she was alive and led the French army to victory against invaders. This ability provides her with knowledge on how to proceed in battle to reach “the correct outcome.”

Noble Phantasms – Rank: A++
Broadsword
Rank: –
Type: Anti-Unit
Although not a Noble Phantasm, Joan of Arc can fight other heroic spirits in battle with her broadsword as though it were.

Standard of Light – The Call of Angels
Rank: A+
Type: Support
By brandishing her banner, Joan of Arc can call forth an aura that boosts the fighting ability of her and all of her allies while it still stands.

God’s Chosen – Heaven’s Defense
Rank: B
Type: Support
Joan’s platemail armor has been given Noble Phantasm status. This armor is able to block attacks of B-rank or lower damage.

Angels’ Wings – The Army of Heaven
Rank: EX
Type: Anti-Army
Joan of Arc’s tactical prowess has gained her the aid of a small platoon of lesser angels that follow her command in battle. Each angel wields a sword of flame and carries a bow and quiver of arrows, and each of them also has the Independent Action ability at Rank D, allowing them to stay until the battle is finished, until they are dismissed, or until they are defeated in battle.
Avenger was on of my favorite characters in this game. She was beaten down and even executed for her powers and beliefs, but she was a heroine and even returned to the world in the Holy Grail War as a heroine.

I took some incentive to make Joan of Arc into a Servant from the fact that most people thought Saber from Fate/stay night was in fact her. Gille de Rais, a follower of hers was also a Servant in Fate/Zero, so she also had connections going far back into the series.

She was the Servant of Hisif Daiert, who was on the verge of being completely emotionless, but he still tried to make her feel better about herself and how she came to be a Servant. She ended up showing him a thing or two about feeling and they became lovers. It was definitely an interesting pairing.

Joan was very devoted to following a cause, and ended up following the visions given to her by whatever unnamed entity, be it God or something else. She knew that even though they had caused her death in her first life, that following them was still the right thing to do, and it led her down the path to destroy the Holy Grail along with everyone else in the end.

Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night, Fate/hollow ataraxia, and all contained therein are copyrighted to Kinoko Nasu and his company, Type-Moon.

Fate/forever wishes and Jeanne d'Arc, the Avenger-class Servant, are copyrighted to me.

In Fate/Apocrypha (if they ever make the game) shows that Joan is already an actual servant ([link]). Interesting idea though.
